Baseline Finishes
Our baseline finish for the Model 1A and the Model 1B SDW is satin black paint. For the Models 2 and 3, we include a wood veneered front face and black polished acrylic top. The sides and back of these speakers are painted satin black. The top and sides of the Model 2 and 3 can finished in wood veneer for a modest upcharge – please call us; (314) 295-5961.
The Elevon and Airfoil is veneered on all visible surfaces. Veneered finishes are available in any species of wood offered by Sauer’s Veneers. Call for more details or for special requests. The Elevon and Airfoil can also be painted in any color cabinet paint Sherwin Williams supplies at no extra charge. The Elevon and Airfoil speaker covers are designed and fabricated by SB Acoustics for their drivers and are acoustically transparent. The grills come in black cloth with magnetic attachments.
VPE Electrodynamics is dedicated to good sound first, however we know that for many music lovers, a new loudspeaker is also a new piece of furniture. Accordingly, appearance – particular the finish is important. Our baseline speakers are all finished in premium cabinet paint. Optionally- Sherwin Williams “Emerald” Urethane paint which is a water-based paint in semi-gloss or stain finish formulated for upscale kitchens and bathroom cabinets and millwork. This paint can be ordered in over 150 colors to match your home décor.
