Baseline Finishes
Our baseline finish for the Model 1 is painted black. Other colors are available upon request. For the Model 2 we include a wood veneered front face and black polished acrylic top. The Model 2 also comes with black laminate sides, however we can wrap veneer around all sides and the top for an upcharge.
The Crystal Dipole baffle is available in clear, translucent bronze or gray, or opaque black or white. All surfaces including the edges are polished. The Magna Riser stands are Multi-Riser VII painted gloss black.
The Airfoil is veneered on all visible surfaces including light and dark veneer or veneer / laminate / cloth combinations. Veneered finishes are available in any species of wood offered by Sauer’s Veneers. Call for more details or for special requests. The Airfoil can also be painted in any color cabinet paint Sherwin Williams supplies at no extra charge. The Airfoil speaker covers are designed and fabricated by SB Acoustics for their drivers and are acoustically transparent. The grills come in black cloth with magnetic attachments. Custom grill shapes and cloth colors are available for an upcharge.
VPE Electrodynamics is dedicated to good sound first, however we know that for many music lovers, a new loudspeaker is also a new piece of furniture. Accordingly, appearance – particular the finish is important. Our baseline speakers are all finished in premium cabinet paint. Optionally- Sherwin Williams “Emerald” Urethane paint which is a water-based paint in semi-gloss or stain finish formulated for upscale kitchens and bathroom cabinets and millwork. This paint can be ordered in over 150 colors to match your home décor.
